Lovesick

My work explores on the universal experience of relationship cycles. A never-ending process in someone’s life whether it be platonic or romantic, the cycle will always repeat. When losing a connection with someone, people tend to remember memories linked to a certain emotion, being happiness, sadness or anger. This can sometimes block them from remembering the entirety, leading to mourning the possibly of finding a connection like that again. Being able to view this piece from start to finish shows you all parts of itself and in turn shows how whilst it ended it will start again. The use of nature through flowers and insect’s helps shows how this process is a natural part of our world. For this piece I used acrylic paint paired with dried flowers above. The flower’s symbolise past and present relationships in someone’s life.
