Star-Child
Angharad Anthony
Star-Child is a print and digital magazine made for artists, by artists, and is a space built to celebrate creative process over perfection. It spotlights emerging creatives in fashion, art, photography, and music, who are experimenting, evolving, and figuring it out as they go. The magazine was created to uplift artists who may not fit neatly into traditional industry spaces, but are making meaningful, soul-driven work anyway.
At its core, Star-Child is about creating a supportive community that embraces the messiness, doubt, and growing pains of being an artist, not just the polished end result. It’s not about chasing trends, it’s about capturing what these young artists are accomplishing.
The first issue of the magazine was produced using Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop was used for editing images and graphics. The different media showcased in the magazine include illustration, digital design, fine art, and photography.
Hi there! My name is Angharad Anthony, and I was born and raised in South Wales. My passions include visual design and creative/art direction, with a newfound interest in magazine journalism. My work aims to combine vibrant colour palettes with playful nostalgia, and I utilise bold editorial design to create positive, eye-catching experiences. I have a deep love for storytelling using visuals and words, and I aim to create content that connects emotionally and stands out in saturated spaces.
