Inspired by the radical societal changes of the 1920s and the notion of forbidden love between women, this collection emerges as an artistic statement. The silhouettes conceal the body, serving as a metaphor for the women who had to hide their feelings from a world that was often hostile. The collection pays homage to the courage of those who dared to embrace their authentic selves.

Unique hand-painted, printed, and hand-cut fabrics are fashioned into dramatic looks. Eclectic and sometimes surreal references abound, from the Lover's Eye emblems to the curvaceous lines of New York's iconic Chrysler Building. The intriguing work of painter Fatima Ronquillo also surfaces as an inspiration.

I composed this poem to convey the tone of this collection:

How would I look into your eyes? Tears entangled – An illustrious bribe White lilies dimmed Outlived their lives “To say within own deep-sunken eyes” Beloved Everything with you is beyond compare If you would look into mine Shall I offer you my void, my pride, my hunger A pensive dove! All at once you might hear the voice – Lonely vines wilting in the grove before the dusk drawn And in that naked place called secret Two lean roads diverged with a sigh The chorus of lives! Whilst the gloom distilled Epochs of flowering Yet my lily deceased Tasting the bitterness of harvest moon I thought of you in a fraction of a second So long as your opened eyes look into mine Nor eloquent I would quiver in your breath.

I was greatly inspired by the fashion of the 1920s era. This collection explores secret personal emotions, enquiring into the profound feeling of 'love' through what I believe to be the most expressive part of the human body – the eyes. With a subtle yet powerful symbolism, each piece depicts the depth of emotion that can be conveyed through a single gaze, celebrating the unspoken language of love that transcends words.
