Tour De Couluer
Florence Kelk Whall
This collection draws on archive imagery from the early Tour de France, reinterpreting the charm of the original riders through playful, contemporary pieces. Deadstock fabrics have been transformed through layering, print and softened finishes, creating garments that feel worn, repaired and shaped through time.
Inspired by the endurance and resilience of these riders, the collection balances function with re-worked details such as classic stripes, race lettering and ‘King of the Mountain’ polka dots. These elements celebrate the enduring spirit, individuality, and legacy of the sport’s earliest competitors.
Florence Kelk Whall is a menswear designer from the East Midlands, with a passion for vintage workwear, functional clothing and bold use of colour. Her work explores the balance between practicality and playfulness, creating garments that bring character to everyday dress. Florence has gained valuable industry experience through internships at S.S. Daley, Charles Jeffrey Loverboy (Production), and Nicholas Daley. These opportunities have handed her the skills, knowledge, and confidence to develop this collection while embracing every stage of the creative process.
