Tribute
Lydia Pipili
This project is a tribute to the women in my family, showcasing the hardships they have endured as well as their resilience in overcoming those challenges to become who they are. Fully inspired by a collection of old family photographs, the fabric prints, shapes, and overall concept emerged from those images and my research. This collection aims to offer a sense of protection, shielding, and relief not just for the women in my family, but for all women.
My name is Lydia, and although I was born and raised in Brussels, both my parents are Greek, so I consider myself Greek as well—that is where home truly is for me. I have always been drawn to the arts, whether it is drawing, sculpting, photography, film, or fashion design. My aim is to work within a community of like-minded individuals who share the same ideals and creative goals as I do. I want to collaborate with other creative minds and produce work that has substance and something meaningful to convey.
