Whispers of the Field
Eliza Cleverley
Rooted in the spirit of earth and sky, this collection reimagines the scarecrow as a silent steward of the land—weatherworn, wild, and woven into the rhythm of nature. Each piece is crafted from dead-stock and natural fibres that have been salvaged, revived and given new life through natural botanical alchemy. Onion skins, gall-nuts, black-beans, and leaves lend their pigments, steeped into the fabric to echo seasons passed. This is a celebration of decay and rebirth—of garments that breathe with the land and bear the memory of the elements.
Eliza is a designer with an environmentally conscious approach to fashion, creating garments that reflect both beauty and intent. Her work champions longevity, craftsmanship, and refined finishes — pieces made to be worn, treasured, and lived in. Embracing a genderless philosophy, she designs androgynous silhouettes that offer timeless versatility. Eliza often up-cycles forgotten textiles, reimagining the old and unloved into something quietly powerful. Drawing inspiration from natural elements, Japanese street style, and folk wear traditions, her aesthetic leans into oversized forms with softness and narrative; to create garments that feel discovered rather than made.
